2024 AMERICAN HONEY QUEEN & PRINCESS HAIL FROM WISCONSIN & MAINE
The American Beekeeping Federation is proud to announce that Kaelyn Sumner and Lainey Bell were selected as the 2024 American Honey Queen and Princess.
Queen Kaelyn is the 21-year-old daughter of Robert and Traci Sumner of Cecil, Wisconsin. She is a senior at Kansas State University, majoring in Agriculture Education with minors in Food Science and Entomology. She previously served as the Wisconsin Honey Queen.
Princess Lainey is the 18-year-old daughter of Chad and Cindy Bell of Winslow, Maine. She is a freshman at the University of Southern Maine studying Political Science and part of the accelerated pathway program with the Maine School of Law. Lainey is the first representative in the American Honey Queen Program from the State of Maine.
Kaelyn and Lainey will spend the next year promoting the beekeeping industry throughout the United States in a wide variety of venues, including fairs, festivals, schools, media interviews, and virtual presentations.
