Mobile App FAQ

I understand there is an update to the Bee Culture App. How do I update the App on my device?
If your phone or tablet has “automatic app updates” turned on, the App will automatically update. No need to do anything. The next time you open the App it will be the new one.

If you do not see the updated App when you open the App, you do not have Auto update turned on and will update manually…

  • Open the App Store on your device.
  • Tap “Updates”
  • Tap the Bee Culture “UPDATE”

  • Open the Google Play Store app
  • Tap Menu > My apps & games
  • Tap the Bee Culture “UPDATE”

I have a digital subscription from Bee Culture and know my username and password, what do I do?
  1. Update the App (see above)
  2. Launch the app on your device
  3. Tap the 3-line MENU on the upper-left
  4. Choose “Account”
  5. Tap “Sign In”
  6. Click on “This Month’s Issue”
  7. Click on “Sign In” at the bottom of the screen
  8. Click Sign-in again
  9. Enter username and password
  10. Tap “Done” and “Close”

You will now have access to everything in the App.

I forgot my Bee Culture password. Where can I find it?

How can I download an issue?
Pages are stored on the device in two ways:

  • Pages read are cached.

Pages you read while connected to the internet, are cached to your device for offline reading. Once capacity is reached, the oldest cached pages are rolled off making room for new content.

  • A reader can choose to download a full issue.

Starting with the August 2016 issue, users can choose to download the full issue (see screen shot below).

To allow download, the collection is set up to browse each article.  Once the first article is open, the user can scroll left to see additional articles/pages.

Contents of a downloaded collection will not be purged even if users reach the capacity of content stored in cache. Users can tap the icon to make the collection purgeable again.
